Horsham FC is a supporter-run club operating at National League South level. Alongside a small team of full-time staff, the club relies on volunteers to function smoothly, safely and professionally — on matchdays and throughout the week.

Volunteering at Horsham FC isn’t about filling gaps. It’s about contributing to a club that takes itself seriously and is proud of how it’s run. Some roles are regular, some occasional, some behind the scenes — all are important.

There’s no single “type” of volunteer here, and no expectation that everyone gives the same amount of time. What matters is reliability, professionalism and a willingness to be part of a team.

Current Volunteer Role(s) Available:

Where you can get involved

Matchday & Operations
This includes stewarding, car parking and Park & Ride, turnstiles, crowd management, and supporting matchday hospitality. These roles help ensure matchdays run smoothly and safely for everyone.

Football Support
Behind every team sheet is a lot of unseen work. Volunteers help with kit and equipment, matchday logistics, player liaison, and support for youth and women’s fixtures. These roles suit people who enjoy being close to the football operation.

Media, Marketing & Communications
As the club grows, so does the importance of telling its story well. Volunteers support match commentary, social media, photography and video, website updates, programme content and general communications. Some roles are matchday-based, others can be done remotely.

Commercial & Fundraising
The club’s sustainability depends on strong local support. Volunteers help with managing perimeter boards, match and stand sponsorships, programme advertising, local business outreach and fundraising activity. These roles suit people who enjoy relationship-building and practical commercial work.

Governance & Professional Skills
Beyond matchdays, the club benefits from people with professional experience. Volunteers contribute through committee roles, project support, advisory work, and sub-groups covering areas such as finance, facilities, compliance, IT, HR and strategy. These roles are often flexible and time-limited.

What volunteering looks like in practice

Volunteering doesn’t mean giving up every Saturday, and it doesn’t mean doing something outside your comfort zone. Many people volunteer occasionally, choose specific fixtures, or support one-off projects.

What matters most is trust — turning up when you say you will, working collaboratively, and understanding that even small roles make a big difference to how the club functions.

As Horsham has grown, expectations have risen too. The club is proud of the standards it operates to, and volunteering here reflects that.

Committee Roles

Our Club Committee is made up of volunteers who help guide and support Horsham FC both on and off the pitch. Committee members take responsibility for key areas of the club’s operations, working closely with club staff and fellow volunteers to strengthen the club, improve the matchday and off-pitch experience, and support the long-term sustainability of Horsham FC.

There are currently no committee positions available.

With thanks

We’re grateful to long-standing volunteer groups like the Wednesday Club, whose time and effort have supported the club for many years and continue to do so.

Could this be you?
