Horsham and Chichester served up a goal bonanza for the spectators at The Camping World Community Stadium, sharing ten goals in a friendly meeting that saw the visitors overhaul a two goal deficit only to concede three times in the closing stages.

Chi’s Callum Overton scored all of his side’s four goals, opening the scoring on four minutes, only for the Hornets to hit back to take a 3-1 interval lead thanks to efforts from trialists Bradley Wilson and Alex Laing, and Charlie Harris. But the Division one side, who included former Hornet Lewis Hyde in their starting line-up, impressed in the second half and had levelled matters by the 63rd minute, with Overton scoring the pick of the bunch from 25 yards.

A Lewis Taylor penalty, six minutes from time following a trip on Jerry O’Sullivan, enabled the hosts to get their noses back in front and when Jack Brivio converted a superb Harvey Sparks cross a couple of minutes later, it appeared that the victory had been assured for Dom Di Paola’s men. Yet a fourth goal from Overton threatened a grandstand finish, only for Eddie Dsane to cap an eye-catching display by the substitute when he finished off an excellent team move just seconds from time.
