A heavily rotated Horsham side cruised into the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup in emphatic fashion as they hit an outclassed Newhaven side for ten in the highest-scoring game ever at the Fusion Aviation Community Stadium. The first half saw four unanswered goals for the Hornets, with captain-for-the-night Reece Meekums scoring a quickfire brace. Before the first half was over, Ashley Nadesan grabbed a double of his own, including a spot-kick, to put a comeback out of the question. Supersub Daniel Ajakaiye then ran riot in the second half as he picked up three assists and a brace of his own, whilst a Marco Haigh double and goals from Jamie Yila and Harry Hedges left Hornets fans with a beaming smile on their faces after the final whistle blew.
