Horsham drew their fifth match out of nine, and Chelmsford their eighth out of nine, as an afternoon of multiple chances, mostly falling to the Hornets, ended goalless.
After Jamie Yila saw an early effort saved, Charlie Hester-Cook alone went close four times, while Ronan Silva and Ashley Nadesan were both denied in one-on-ones by busy home goalkeeper, Alfie Marriott.
Chelmsford had two good chances at the start of the second half, but otherwise threatened little. Horsham substitute Daniel Ajakaiye was inches away from connecting with a Nadesan cross in stoppage time, but the Clarets had a chance to steal the points in the dying seconds, only for Denzelle Olopade’s shot to slide wide of the post.
