Our youth sides were on fire yesterday, recording a clean sweep across the board for a superb effort from all our squads.

The Camping World Community Stadium hosted the local derby between Horsham U14s and Roffey Athletic in the Sussex County Cup and it was the home side who took control of the tie, scoring ten goals without reply to book their place in the next round. Three players scored a brace; L Medrow, M Panoutsos and C Mitchell, with L York, A Street-Williams, S Ayling and an own goal completing the scorers.

The U14s were sporting their new home strip, sponsored by MTM Autocare, as were the CRM Roofing-backed U11s who also had a good day at the stadium, defeating Worthing Town Blue to record their second Coral Cup match.

Horsham U13s were away at Patcham United Athletic in the first round of the Les Kempster Trophy (Sussex County Cup) and produced a good team performance that saw them win through by four goals to one, the Hornets’ goals coming from C Webb (2), P Tatum and an own goal. The lads will host Hastings United in the second round on November 1st.

The late kick-off saw our U12s in action down at Bognor Regis. These fixtures are always good encounters and this one proved to be no different as Horsham improved after a slow start to beat the Pebbles 6-3, helped by four goals from S Abrehart and two from Z Langford.

Our U16 Mid-Sussex League side travelled to Three Bridges with an understrength squad hit by injury and unavailability yet, despite having only ten men, they showed great determination to come through a tough match and pull off a tremendous 6-1 win. Although the goals were shared by Z Jeanes (3), L Jones (2) and Cody Watts, huge congratulations go to all ten players for a terrific result.

Horsham U17 are through to the quarter-finals of the Mid-Sussex League Cup despite not playing yesterday after their scheduled opponents, Willingdon Athletic, were unable to field a side. Our U16 Arun & Chichester League side were without a match.
