Four more members of last year’s squad have pledged their futures to the club this week, taking the total number of players who have committed to wearing the amber and Lincoln green again next season to twelve.

Supporters will be keen to see more of former Southend United winger Alex Clark, who put in some eye-catching displays during the final month of the aborted campaign, while Lea Dawson‘s decision to remain at the club for a second season is sure to delight both manager and Hornets fans in equal measure. Dylan Merchant, whose spectacular strike against Hartley Wintney last summer was the first to be scored at the new ground, is also staying while Gary Charman, who made his senior debut back in 1998, will be hoping for the opportunity to become the club’s all-time appearance holder. He currently needs ten more appearances to beat Mark Stepney’s record of 614.

A huge welcome back to all of them.

We hope to bring details of more signings in the coming days but if you missed our earlier announcement about the first batch of players to join up, you can see the article here

The NLP reports that 35-year old ‘Legend Charman’ will play for the Hornets again next season, 22 years after first signing. Child star!
