Horsham Football Club are proud to announce the launch of an exciting charity fundraising initiative next week.
Taking place over what would have been Euro 2020, from 12th June to 12th July, the #DonateAPint campaign encourages football fans of all ages to get involved, by donating the price of a pint they’d otherwise have spent on a soft or alcoholic drink while watching the European Football Championship.
With mental health problems on the rise, and the use of mental health charities such as CALM and Samaritans also increasing during the current COVID-19 pandemic, we recognise how important it is to support both the charities and the people affected. That is why 100% of the money raised will go to local charity, West Sussex Mind.
West Sussex Mind are committed to changing attitudes and increasing knowledge and understanding around mental health so that people living with mental health problems feel less stigmatized and isolated, and ask for help when they need it.
They also help those with mental health problems to achieve their own personal goals to enable them to get the support they need and to effectively manage difficulties themselves and be socially connected.
Find out more about who we’re raising money for, by checking out their website here.
Anyone getting involved can donate as many times as they like and, though we’re setting an initial £1400 target, we’d love to raise as much as possible for this great cause!
Look out for the JustGiving donation page on our social media channels as we officially launch the campaign next Friday!
