Horsham Youth’s desire to test themselves against stronger opposition has seen two of our sides accepted into higher age groups for the 2020/21 season.
Frustrated at the frequency by which opponents withdrew from fixtures last season, due to the gulf in ability, The Hornets’ new U15s and U16s have been accepted into the U16 and U17 leagues respectively. “We looked at may different solutions (to the problem of ‘walkover’ matches) and the managers of U15 and U16 Amber decided that, for season 2020/2021, they wanted to move up divisions” confirmed youth secretary Annie Raby.
“Both leagues have confirmed they have received our applications (although) the league make-ups have not been published yet.”
The Hornets will be fielding eight sides in seven age groups next season, as follows:
Arun & Chichester Youth Sunday League: U11s, U12s, U13s, U14s, U16 Green
Mid-Sussex Sunday Youth League: U15 (U16 League), U16 Amber (U17 League)
Isthmian Youth League : U18
A reminder that anyone wishing to try out for any of our age groups from U11-U16 should email firstname.lastname@example.org or, for the U18s, email@example.com
