Supporting those in need is something we should all be thinking about in everyday life but none more so than in these exceptional and unprecedented times.
At the forefront of helping older, vulnerable, people in our local area right now are Horsham District Age UK, but they can’t do it without your support!
An emergency appeal has been put out for food and essentials to be dropped off at Lavinia House, Dukes Square, any time between 8:30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, that can then be distributed to those most needy in the Horsham community.
Although most items would be acceptable, the following are among the most urgently needed:
- Tinned meat, fish, vegetables and soup
- Longlife milk
- Microwavable foods that don’t need refrigeration
- Eggs and bread (fresh or part-baked)
- Toilet rolls and cleaning products
- Knitting wool and needles
- Craft kits
- DVDs and CDs
Financial support is also welcomed, and you can donate at www.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/Emergency-Covid-Appeal
