Dom Di Paola’s side will be looking to achieve something no other Horsham team have ever done when they take on Margate tomorrow night: reach the Velocity Trophy semi-finals.

In the competition’s 45-year history, the Hornets have only ever managed to reach the quarter finals on one separate occasion before, but never further.

And with spirits high following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Cheshunt, the Hornets will be keen to add some silverware to the metaphorical trophy cabinet.

Tomorrow night’s opponents, Margate, have become draw specialists recently with their last four games in all competitions finishing all square.

‘Gate knocked out Wingate & Finchley in the previous round with a 3-1 win, while the Hornets put five past Burgess Hill Town less than a fortnight ago.

A new name on the Velocity Trophy is already guaranteed with the seven remaining teams left in the competition yet to win it before.

Cheshunt and Bracknell Town have already qualified to the semi-finals, overcoming Worthing and Maldon & Tiptree respectively.

Meanwhile, the final semi-final spot is up for grabs between three teams with Basildon United and Folkestone Invicta still to play their last-16 fixture with Brightlingsea Regent waiting for the victors.

As a result, both teams will be fancying their chances to write themselves into the record books, and the Hornets will be all too aware of the opposing side’s threat.

Margate recorded a 3-0 defeat in their league visit earlier this season – just our second home loss in the league so far this campaign.

We would like to thank Lacey & Son for their support in sponsoring tomorrow’s game. We hope you enjoy your visit!

Kick off at The Camping World Community Stadium is 7.45pm, and full admission prices will apply. As this is also a cup match, season tickets will not be valid. Admission is Β£11 for adults, Β£6 for concessions, and only Β£2 for U16s.

We would absolutely love for you to join us, but if, for whatever reason, you can’t make it, you’ll be able to receive live updates throughout over on our Twitter account @HorshamFC.
