Horsham cruised into the quarter-finals of the Isthmian League Cup for the first time since 2009 with a five-star display against county rivals Burgess Hill Town. Recently criticised by manager Dom Di Paola for their lack of goals, the Hornets hit four in a rampant first half, with Jack Brivio (two) and Chris Smith netting against their former sides and Dylan Merchant getting a birthday goal.

Another former Hillian, Rob O’Toole, came off the bench to add a fifth in the second half and although the South East Division side enjoyed little luck in front of goal – Josh Short seeing a fierce drive come back off the crossbar – few would deny the Hornets were terrific value for their win.
