It was a cold and frosty morning for the Horsham FC Youth section today but it was nice to watch football without getting soaked to the skin and standing in the bright sunshine watching the younger squads was a joy.

The U11s started the morning with a win against Worthing United, followed up by our U12s who enjoyed an exciting match against Storrington Community. The fixture was played in good spirit, with the Horsham lads edging the fixture by six goals to three. The U14s were on the road and had a ten minute delay to allow for the frost to clear ahead of their CP Mason County Cup quarter-final tie at Lancing United. When play got underway it was the Horsham lads who were victorious, defeating their hosts 6-4 to book a semi-final tie against Bognor Regis on 29th March. Sadly U15 Amber weren’t quite so fortunate as their scheduled match against Lancing United was postponed.

Summary:
U11 v Worthing United – Won
(scoreline and goalscorers names withheld due to league restrictions)
U12 v Storrington Community – Won 6-3ย (Scorers: Dan Baxter 3, Tom Wythers, Zac Rihoui, Adam Gregory)
U14 v Lancing United – Won 6-4 (Scorers: Stan Berry 3, Nathan Jones, Frankie Mills, Luke Harrison)

Our U13s, U15s and U16s did not play.

Congratulations to all the squads and management teams for today’s success and a massive thank you to the parents, helpers and volunteers for their support.
