Horsham surrendered a two goal advantage to bow out of the Sussex Senior Cup on a night of disappointment at a soggy Camping World Community Stadium this evening.Β 

Rob O’Toole and a thunderous volley by Lea Dawson put the Hornets in control at the break but a controversial penalty award enabled Ollie Pearce to give Worthing hope and, when he levelled matters with 12 minutes remaining, the home team could sense their chance of reaching the last four of the competition slipping from their grasp. Sure enough, on 83 minutes, substitute Reece Myles-Meekums blasted in the winner to send the travelling fans away happy and left the home licking their wounds.
