Horsham continue their quest for a first Sussex Senior Cup trophy win since 1976 as The Hornets take on local rivals Worthing, who make their first trip to The Camping World Community Stadium.
The Rebels – who are the competition’s most successful club, lifting the trophy on 21 occasions – enjoyed local bragging rights when they demolished Dom Di Poala’s side 3-0 on Boxing Day at Woodside Road, and with both teams vying for a place in the play-offs in the Isthmian Premier, the tie will surely be another intriguing contest between two squads who like to play good football.
Horsham required a late equaliser to take their Third Round fixture against County League side Littlehampton Town to extra time, but ultimately needed penalties and the heroics of George Bentley to seal their passage. Meanwhile, our guests on Tuesday evening had no such issues against AFC Varndenians dismantling them 0-3 at The Withdean Stadium.
The Hornets will be eager to gain revenge on their Boxing Day loss, but they will need to upset the form book to defeat a side who have only lost twice since the start of October.
The game gets underway at 7.30pm, with extra time and/or penalties to decide matters if the scores are level.
