Horsham’s young under 23 squad make a quick return to the Camping World Community Stadium, after last week’s entertaining 2-2 draw with Carshalton Athletic, when they take on Eastbourne Town in the Sussex County U23 Challenge Cup quarter final.
In what will be a busy week for Mark Hawthorne’s development squad, which will also see them travel to Sittingbourne on Thursday for a league encounter, they’ll be hoping to negotiate their way past an Eastbourne Town in similar form to their hosts in the Southern Combination Football League Under 23 East Division, and who find themselves sitting in 3rd place in their division having won 5 of their 8 league fixtures.
Town received a bye in the first round, and eased past Selsey 0-3 in the second round to set up a third round meeting with the Hornets who have won twice at home, Arundel 8–0 and Broadbridge Heath 3-2 in previous rounds.
If the scores are level after 90 minutes a period of 30 minutes extra time will be played followed by penalty kicks if the scores still remain level.
Kick off is 7:30pm and if you can’t make it to the game be sure to follow the Twitter updates @HorshamFC
