Horsham left it late to secure a 0-2 win in Hertfordshire as Lea Dawson and Lee Harding snatched victory to keep Dom Di Paola’s side top.
A difficult pitch and attrition football saw the game goalless until the 86th minute with the home side slightly edging the contest but wasteful finishing and a decent display from Hornets goalkeeper George Bentley meant the game appeared to be heading for a goalless bore-draw. However Lea Dawson had other ideas when he found the net dilling in the rebound from Charlie Harris’ blocked shot.
Lee Harding then sealed the points a minute from time when he found himself one-on-one against home goalkeeper R’avan Constable and slotted in past him.
