Horsham are looking to move one point clear at the top of the Isthmian Premier Division as the Hornets take on Bowers & Pitsea in the first ever meeting between the clubs this Saturday.

With league leaders Folkestone Invicta having a free weekend, due to their FA Trophy opponents, Maldon & Tiptree, facing Leyton Orient in the FA Cup first round, it presents a perfect opportunity for the Hornets to reclaim top spot for the first time in over a month.

Having only played ten league games so far this season, Bowers’ own FA Cup exploits have seen them fall down the table with a backlog of fixtures to catch-up on.

The Essex side have dropped into the relegation zone despite a strong start, but have played five games less than ourselves.

And with us set to become the only Premier Division team to have played 16 league games following Saturday’s clash, three points could be vital in us keeping ground with the other play-off contenders.

Aside from the football, it is all set to be a busy day at The Camping World Community Stadium tomorrow.

To mark Remembrance weekend, we will hold a minute’s silence prior to kick-off and we’ll also be holding a bucket collection for Lest We Forget, a charity which supports disabled ex-servicemen and women.

Current and former armed forces personnel can also receive discounted entry for tomorrow’s game, providing you have proof of service. Servicemen and women under 60 can get in for £6 while over 60s are just £2.

We are also launching our biggest ever Christmas raffle at tomorrow’s game. Lots of prizes are to be won including:

  • £200 of gift vouchers from Camping World
  • A Canon home printer from Lello Business
  • Vouchers for Brighton & Hove Greyhound Stadium
  • Two tickets for Denbies Wine Estate Classic Winery Tour & Vineyard Train Tour
  • Men’s, Womens & Children’s football hamper from the Horsham FC Club Shop
  • A Gift pack from Shepherd Neame Breweries
  • A Football signed by Horsham FC players
  • And many more…

If you would like to donate a prize, or know a business or individual that would, then please don’t hesitate to contact us at admin@horshamfc.co.uk.

Make sure you purchase your tickets at any of our next home games against Bowers & Pitsea (November 9), Margate (November 30), East Thurrock United (December 14) or Lewes (New Year’s Day).

Tomorrow, we will also be showing the early Premier League kick-off between Chelsea and Crystal Palace while Horsham Independent Supporters Club will be hosting a sign-up session for new fans in the clubhouse at 1pm.

Supporters are encouraged to stay behind to see Leicester City take on Arsenal while all club volunteers are invited to share their thoughts with us in a canvassing session after the game.

We are always looking for matchday and non-matchday volunteers so if you would like to support your local football club in any way possible, then please sign up after the game!

As usual, for those who can’t make it, you can follow all of tomorrow’s action by following us on Twitter at @HorshamFC.

Some people who will be there tomorrow are our match sponsors, Monksgate Business Services who we look forward to welcoming. Thank you for your continued support!
