The Camping World Community Stadium produced 37 goals in just THREE matches today, while our U12s and U15 Greens netted a further seven them on the road on what was a hugely successful Sunday for Horsham Youth.
Sam Abrehart scored SIX of the U11s’ eight goals in their friendly success against Barnham as they prepared for the start of the Winter League next weekend, with Noah Ashton chipping in with a brace. U15 Amber eased into the quarter-finals of the Mid-Sussex League Cup with a 13-0 win against Hassocks Juniors, in a tie switched to Horsham after Hassocks’ pitch was declared unplayable following yesterday downpour. There was another double hat-trick in this match, claimed by Conner Collcutt, while Alfie Clifford (2), Henry Hazel, Joe Simpkin, Max Morris and Zain Beg added the others.
In the final of our trio of home matches, the U16s hosted Roffey U18s in a friendly, having been given a bye into the League Cup quarter-finals when opponents Montpellier Villa were unable to fulfil the fixture. The Hornets made light of the age gap by hitting nine goals without reply to record an impressive victory in which Ben Auberery scored five time. Zach Hobson-Hughes, Callum Chesworth, Harvey Woollard and Sam Andrews completed the list of goalscorers.
Our U12s were on the road in Arun & Chichester League action at Worthing United Strikers and fought back from two goals down to capture a point with a 2-2 draw, thanks to goals from Daniel Baxter and Charlie Little. Finally, U15 Green made it six wins on the spin to go top of the Arun & Chichester League table, courtesy of a 5-0 success at Worthing Town where Max Fitzsimmonds (2), Sam McMinn (2) and Harrison Hay were on the mark.
Neither our U13s or U14s were in action today.
