Mark Hawthorne’s U23 development squad make to long trip down into East Sussex tonight to face their Bluefin Sports Insurance Development League rivals Hastings United in a 7.45pm kick off.

Coming off the back of their first defeat of the season, to a strong Tooting & Mitcham United side, the young Hornets will be looking to make amends against what looks like a similarly strong opponent at the Pilot Field tonight.

Hastings, having played a game more than Horsham, sit in 2nd spot enjoying mixed fortunes at home but having held last season’s champions, Tooting & Mitcham United, to a creditable draw at Imperial Fields earlier this month. Only a point separates 4th placed Horsham from tonight’s opponents in the league and they’ll hope to add to that points tally before returning to the Camping World Community Stadium on Thursday evening where they’ll face Broadbridge Heath U23s in the County Cup 2nd round.

If you can’t get to Hastings tonight be sure to follow the live updates on Twitter from 7.30pm.
