Unlike many local pitches, that were ravaged by yesterday’s prolonged rainfall, The Camping World Community Stadium was buzzing today as it hosted five of the club’s youth squads. And, with breakfast and the Rugby World Cup semi-final on the big screen TV, who could ask for more?
Three of our sides were in friendly action, and all came out as winners with the U11s defeating Predators in a good match, our U12s coming out on top from their clash with Horsham Tigers, and U14s proving too strong for AS Eastbourne.
Our U13s were in Arun & Chichester League action league action against high-flying Selsey and did terrifically in coming from behind to run out 5-3 winners, thanks to goals from Callum Mitchell (2), Markos Panoutsos, Baily Moyo and Tom Ong.
Our U16s moved level with Eastbourne Borough at the top of the Mid-Sussex League as an Aden Radojevic brace, his ninth and tenth goals of the seasons, helped the Hornets to a 4-0 win over St Francis Rangers, who helped produce a good match for the spectators. Ryan Baldwin and Harvey Woollard were also on the mark. A full report on this match can be found here
Our thanks to everyone who came down to cheer the boys on.
