Supporters unable to make the trip to Tolworth in support of the first team against Corinthian-Casuals this evening can still get their midweek football fix as the club’s U23s take on their Arundel counterparts in the first round of the Sussex U23 Challenge Cup.
Mark Hawthorne’s squad have made a fine start to their Bluefin Development League campaign, winning their opening two matches, but Arundel have yet to hit form in the Southern Combination Football League U23 (West) and currently sit in 8th place in the 10 team division. The Mullets’ solitary victory came a fortnight ago when they scored five times in the opening 31 minutes of their home match with Worthing United before holding out for a 5-4 win. Their five matches to date has seen a total of 27 goals scored, with their most recent outing ending in a 2-0 loss to Broadbridge Heath who provide the next round opposition for tonight’s winners.
The match kicks off at The Camping World Community Stadium at 7.45pm, with adult admission £4 and U18s and concessions £2.
