Horsham U15s ran out comfortable winners against well-drilled opposition at the Camping World Community Stadium on Sunday.
Amber were quick out of the blocks and Joe Simpkin lashed home the opener within twenty seconds. Two minutes later, Horsham had doubled their lead through the prolific Conner Collcutt. It looked as though the floodgates would open but, to their credit, Panthers re-organised and restricted Amber to long-range efforts. However, they could do nothing about Henry Hazell’s fine half-volley, which found the top corner. Collcutt rode several tackles to add a fourth, just before the break, but the second half was a more even affair. Collcutt completed his hat-trick and defensive midfielder Leighton Read claimed a rare goal, but Amber were not at their clinical best. Panthers had the chance for a late consolation, but fired over from the penalty spot.
