Chris Smith scored a brace, including a last minute winner as Horsham made it through to the next round of the Emirates FA Cup against Metropolitan Police at the Camping World Community Stadium.
The victory set up a tasty looking tie at home against National League South side Dartford, but it looked to be in jeopardy with the game set to head into extra time before Smith settled a five goal thriller.
The visitors went ahead early on through Bilal Sayoud, but Harvey Sparks’ wonder-strike before half time dragged Horsham level. Smith then put Horsham in front with a low finish across the face of goal, but Horsham were made to pay for not taking several further great chances when Luke Robinson scored a cracker nine minutes from time
However Smith’s bundled in winner in injury time will lead to the Met opening a line of enquiry as Horsham stole victory late on.
