Horsham U23s are set to entertain our local rivals, and former landlords, Horsham YMCA in their final pre-season friendly of 2019, tomorrow night.
YM have had considerable recent success in their young player development and can be proud that no less than five members of their current first-team squad are graduates of their U21 and U23 teams.
And, after the latter won the Southern Combination Football League U23 Division, losing just two games, last season, it will be an interesting test for the young Hornets who are expected to field some senior players looking for matchday fitness.
In contrast to our near neighbours, our U23 side are at the very beginning of a project which we hope will enable some homegrown talent the chance to move up to the senior team.
The match is set to kick-off at 7.45pm, at The Camping World Community Stadium, where the bar will be open. Admission is free.
