Horsham Youth’s sides were thrilled when invited to act as mascots for yesterday’s historic first team match versus Leatherhead, the first competitive fixture at our new stadium. All of our age groups were represented, from U11 through to U16, and our thanks go to matchday host Ian Burlinson who made the boys and their families feel welcome. The lads were given the VIP service, with pre-match drinks followed by a ‘meet the players’, a light warm up with the seniors in which fans’ favourite Howie the Hornet joined in. They then presented the guard of honour for the respective teams, finished off with a photo of the history-making moment with the two captains and match officials and matchday programmes signed by the entire Horsham team and management.

The lads thoroughly enjoyed the day and we’re delighted to announce that matchday mascot packages will be available to EVERYONE throughout the coming season so why not get in touch with Ian for details at ianburlinson@yahoo.co.uk?

Pictured with Horsham captain Dylan Merchant, his Leatherhead counterpart, Howie the Hornet and the match officials, are Ted and Luca (U11s), Zach and Ryan *U12s), Alex and Luca (U13s), Cameron and Luke (U14s), Harrison, Brandon, Connor and Charlie (U15s) and Jonny and Dylan (U16s).
