Carney, Rook, Taylor, Mingle, French, Payne, Myall, Westcott, Chatfield, Salami, Flain, Bastian, Geard, Kirby, Graves, Bastian, Farrell, Brake…all names that conjure up great memories of seasons past for Horsham supporters and we’re delighted to announce that our modern day club ‘legends’ will be gracing the new Camping World Community Stadium next month for a fundraising match in memory of our late president, Frank King.

Members of our 2016 Southern Combination League title-winning squad have been lined up to take on a team that will include some of those who took the Hornets on their record-breaking run to the second round of the FA Cup in 2008 to raise funds for The Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and Diabetes UK, both of which were Frank’s favoured charities before his untimely death in May.

The match will take place on Sunday 11th August, kick-off at 2pm, with the clubhouse, bar and kitchen open from midday. Admission is FREE, with a bucket collection on behalf of the above charities taken throughout the match.

Prior to the match, the boardroom will be officially dedicated in Frank’s honour in the presence of his widow, Pauline.

  1. Sean says:

For Taylor, read Taylors – I have managed to get back both the Lewis and Jamie varieties.
Please can everyone let people know this game is on. To make this the success we want it to be, we need everyone there.

  2. Wayne Taylor says:

Very sad to hear of the passing of Frank. I played for The Hornets in the 80’s and my son guested in goal a couple of years ago. Frank was there for both.
