Dom Di Paola’s Horsham side will be aiming to secure a fifth consecutive pre-season win as they travel to the coast to face Southern Combination Football League Premier side, Eastbourne Town.

Having spent the majority of the 2015/16 season battling against tomorrow’s hosts for the SCFL Premier title, Dom Di Paola knows all too well how tough a fixture this can be. A dramatic 5-4 victory for Town three years ago proved to be a modern classic, despite the Hornets failing to pick up the points.

Since that encounter, Horsham have gone from strength to strength, recording two promotions. Meanwhile, the Blues and Yellows have continued to languish in the Southern Combination Premier. Although, a third-place finish last season hints that times may be changing for John Lambert’s team.

Like ourselves, Town are in tremendous form, winning all four of their pre-season games, including an emphatic 3-0 triumph over BetVictor Division One South East side Whitehawk on Friday.

As for the Hornets, Saturday’s outstanding 3-1 victory over near neighbours Crawley Town was the most perfect curtain raiser to celebrate the long-awaited official opening of our new home, The Camping World Community Stadium.

However, this will be another stern test for Di Paola’s side with the boss expected to continue rotating both squad and tactics as he settles on the ultimate gameplan before the season opener in three weeks time.

The game gets underway at 7.45pm at The Saffrons, Eastbourne, BN21 1EA. Admission prices are as follows:

Adults – Β£4

Concessions – Β£2

U16s – Free
