Horsham Youth U14 Amber started slow in their Arun & Chichester League match against Bognor at Gorings Mead, going 2-0 down in the first ten minutes. They then woke up and Sammy Henderson, playing consistently well week in week out, got the Hornets back in game with his first two goals of the season. Then we had a spell of twenty minutes that finished the game with good goals from a Nico Massimo header from corner, Max Warren with his pace beating a couple defenders before slotting ball past the ‘keeper, and two good goals from Zain Beg. Big shout out for Joe Simpkin for going between the sticks as Amber’s regular ‘keeper was unavailable. We had many more chances but we were too greedy and everyone wanted to score instead of a simple pass but we’ll work on it.

Six goals and three points, we know the players can play better so let’s hope we can play like we know we can in the next league fixture.
