Dom Di Paola’s first team squad continues to evolve, with four of last season’s squad opting to move on and Burgess Hill Town forward Lee Harding making the switch from Leylands Park.
Lee graduated through the highly-rated Hillians’ youth academy to make his senior debut in 2014, becoming a regular in the Bostik Premier Division club’s first team with whom he was a near ever-present last season, scoring eleven times in all competitions. Described on the Hillians’ website as “a skilful pacey player who has an eye for goal”, Hornets supporters may remember Lee making goalscoring contributions during two heavy defeats suffered at the hands of our West Sussex rivals in recent seasons. Welcome to the club, Lee.
Whilst we are delighted to secure our latest signing, we are sorry to see a quartet of players leaving the club this summer. Youngsters Fintan Walsh and Henry Watson have elected to sign for Whitehawk and Burgess Hill respectively, with Hakeem Adelakun also choosing to play his football elsewhere and striker Alfie Rogers accepting a place at university in the USA. The club thanks each of them for their contributions last season and wishes them every success in the future.
