The action never stops for Horsham youth who, although the season ended more than a month ago, are still in action over the summer with tournament football until they move up to their next age group.
The U11s (see picture above) were involved in the Worthing Town tournament where, on a great sunny day, the squad made the quarter-final stages where they went down to a 1-0 defeat against tournament winners Mile Oak. Next up for the squad is today’s visit to Worthing Dynamos before ending the month at Shoreham in a tournament sponsored by Pro Direct. There are two further tournaments scheduled for 7th and 14th July at Ardingly and Faygate respectively.
Our U13 Greens played down at Shoreham but, despite enjoying the day, they were knocked out in the early stages. Next up is the Chesworth tournament.
U13 Amber have been busy. They went out in the semi-finals at Steyning town, then won the Ashington Cougars tournament where they scored twenty goals and conceded just one including beating the well-established Steyning KS twice – including a 2-1 triumph in the final – and last week they were at Crystal Palace where they suffered an agonising penalty shoot-out defeats in the semi finals.
Further updates will be posted throughout the summer.
