Just 48hrs after their cup heartache at Bognor, the U16s took on high-flying Worthing United and were unlucky to go down to a narrow 1-0 loss. It was an excellent effort by the Hornets who, despite fielding a patched up side with many carrying knocks, gave their second placed opponents plenty of problems with a battling performance.
U13 Amber played their final match of the season and left it late before beating Felpham Colts, with two goals from Sammy Henderson and one from Zain Beg coming in the final ten minutes to secure a 3-0 home win that gives them a final position of third in the Arun & Chichester Division A.
The only other of our five youth sides in action was the U12s who, after a tough week in which they’d played Barnham and Chichester, found it hard to get their mojo going and went down to a 4-2 defeat at Worthing Town Blue with Frankie Mills and Raul Barter scoring Horsham’s goal. The loss put a dent in the Hornets’ hopes of finishing third with just two games left to play.
