There might have been beautiful sunshine, perfect for football, but things didn’t go too brightly for all our young Hornets teams on Sunday. Success did come the way of  our U13s Green, who remain unbeaten following a 2-0 win over Barnham Trojans Red (with goals from Adam Fitter and Harrison Bradley), and the U11s who won their friendly against the wonderfully-named Worthing Brazilian Masters thanks to goals from Thom Ong, Harry Lawson and Sonny Barton.

But U13 Amber came away with no points and no goals from their trip to Rustington Otters, who won 5-0. The U12s started slowly and were punished with three quick goals when they, too, took on Rustington. Despite some tactical changes and a change of formation, that saw them pull a goal back through Stanley Berry and go on to dominate the match, they had to settle for a 3-1 defeat. Finally, Jake Relleen’s fourth goal of the season wasn’t enough to prevent the U16s from going down to a 3-1 home loss to Lancing Rangers.
