Horsham Amber produced a dominant display, netting thirteen goals against Felpham Colts Youth without reply. Felpham came out of the blocks quickly and were only denied the lead by a tight offside decision. However, from then on it was one way traffic. Joe Simpkin gave a scintillating first half performance, firing in a hat-trick within twenty minutes, his second coming courtesy of a fine run and assist from Joe Stevens. With Leighton Read anchoring the midfield superbly, Sam Henderson took the opportunity to move forward at will and scored a goal either side of the break, the second an unstoppable strike from twenty-five yards.

Felpham’s goalkeeper made a string of fine saves but could not stop Zain Beg scoring five, the pick of the bunch being a brave header from Zach Barnett’s smart cross. Simpkin also netted five, whilst Nico Massimo could only smile when his intended cross bounced over the ‘keeper’s head and in. A mention must go to the Horsham defence, particularly Isaac Small and Max Morris, who snuffed out any attack. Also credit to the Felpham players and coaches, as they never let their heads drop and were unfortunate to come away without a goal.

Horsham: Will Scurr, Isaac Small, Max Morris, Nico Massimo, Josh Buttle, Joe Stevens, Sam Henderson, Leighton Read, Max Warren, Joe Simpkin, Zain Beg.
Subs: George Edgley, Lewis Bridle, Ben Embling, Will Walton, Zach Barnett
