Horsham FC Youth U12 welcomed Bognor to Southwater on Sunday and, in the very early exchanges, it was an even contest. However Bognor scored first, early on, that meant the young Hornets had to fight back, which they did really well. With a quick period of play Horsham levelled through Raul Barter, closing their keeper down to get Horsham off the mark for the season. The first half was manic after that, with both teams trading blows but neither able to find the back of the net to gain an advantage.

The second half started with Bognor playing good football but it was Horsham who gained the lead when some good passing saw Frankie Mills chip over their ‘keeper for a 2-1 lead. But Bognor would not lie downΒ and they kept coming and, after Horsham had hit the post, they broke away down the right to deliver a perfect cross for them to head a leveller. With the game still in the balance, Horsham had the chance to regain the lead but the ball would not cross the line and, with the game deep in time added on, Bognor nicked all the points from a corner.

Horsham battled well but were left empty handed afterΒ two games, looking for their first points of the season!
