U12 Amber remain in contention for the Arun Chichester League Division A title, thanks to a 3-0 win away to bottom side Worthing Town White on Sunday. With second-placed Felpham Colts not in action yesterday, Worthing Town Red took advantage to leapfrog the Colts in to top spot with victory over Felpham Colts Youth and will be crowned champions if they win both of their remaining two games. However, a similar outcome awaits the Hornets who cannot be overtaken if they achieve maximum points from their four outstanding games. Wednesday’s match at Worthing Town Red will prove pivotal in deciding the outcome of the trophy. Horsham’s goals were scored by Joe Simpkin, Joe Stevens and Isaac Small.
TEAM: George Edgeley, Tom Matthews, Josh Buttle, Sam Henderson, Ben Embling, Max Warren, Max Morris, Joe Simpin, Joe Stevens Subs: Nico Massimo, Isaac Small, Lewis Bridle
The U12 Greens continue to give their all but came up short against visiting Barnham Trojans, who took advantage of a lack of concentration in the home defence to record a 4-2 victory. A goal down at the break, Horsham drew level through Zach Barnett but three goals in seven minutes put Barnham in the driving seat to leave Dan Woodward’s late goal nothing more than a consolation. Our U11s found things a little tough away to Lancing Colts, where two goals from Jack Willis and one from Charlie Brown couldn’t prevent a 7-3 loss, but the U15s displayed their title-winning form with a 3-1 friendly success at Midhurst & Easebourne. Connor Brown (two) and Jake Releen scored for the champions.
