The U12 Amber kept their title hopes alive by extending their winning run to six games with a narrow 2-1 success over Felpham Colts Youth on Sunday. The young Hornets trail leaders Felpham Colts by nine points, with four games in hand, and have a huge match ahead of them when they travel to second-placed Worthing Town Red in two weeks’ time knowing that defeat will almost certainly hand the title to Worthing. Joe Simpkin took his season’s tally to twenty-four goals with both in the narrow victory at Shrubb’s Field in what was the only one of Horsham Youth’s matches to survive the wet weather.
