Horsham Youth U15 travelled to Shoreham on Sunday for a game that, if unbeaten, would see them crowned winners of the Arun & Chichester League C Division! The game started brightly for Horsham as early pressure saw Louis Hartley open the scoring to put the yellow and greens one up. It was the conditions during this first half that prevented a goal feast but, after some clever football, Kieran Bonner seized a second goal to put Horsham 2-0 up at the break.
This was a tense affair as the second half started but, with the wind now blowing in favour of The Hornets, it was not long before Horsham scored their third when Jake Relleen got on the score sheet. This allowed him to grow in confidence as he soon seized his second to put Horsham 4-0 up. With the wind getting stronger, so was Horsham’s grip on the match and the title. Max Laker floated a free-kick into the box and over the Shoreham ‘keeper to get a fifth for the yellows. It then became the Kieran Bonner show as he got a quickfire, second half hat-trick, scoring three goals in very quick succession to take his tally to four goals in the match and get Horsham to an 8-0 lead. Josh Hall then scored from a good corner before Jamie Boniface finished the scoring as he scored Horsham’s tenth goal in what was a very solid performance – 10-0 final score.
Horsham U15s would like to give a massive thank you to Rosie Kent for all her help behind the scenes
