Horsham’s U12s ‘Amber’ produced a wonder first half in today’s derby with Horsham ‘Greens’, scoring six times on their way to securing a 7-1 League Cup 1st Round triumph. In front of a great crowd of 64 spectators, the Greens rallied after the break and were unlucky not to peg a couple of goals back for themselves but it was Tony Massimo’s squad who progress through to the next round.

With the Arun & Chichester League’s ongoing problem regarding registration cards, U11s manager Paul Brown used the opportunity to look at a number of trialists in a friendly match against Worthing United today, a match won by the well-organised visitors by 4-2. The Hornets’ goalscorers were Charlie Brown and Jack New.

The U15s were in competitive action for the first time this season and were knocked out of the County Cup but not before threatening to pull off a fantastic comeback win. Trailing their hosts Seagulls 4-1, the lads hit back to level at 4-4 only to suffer a set back when an unfortunate injury to the Hornets’ goalkeeper saw them concede two further goals to bow out 6-4. Ryan Atalay (2), Connor Brown and Kieran Bonner were the Horsham scorers.
