Horsham leapt to the top of the table after a second successive five goal haul, this time at the home of the reigning champions. The match got off to a thrilling start with three goals inside the opening twelve minutes, Peter Beadle’s goal sandwiched between strikes from Scott Murfin and Darren Boswell. Two goals in four second half minutes, from Charlie Farmer and Jordan Clark, put the Hornets in the driving seat and their task was aided by the dismissal of Town player-manager George Gaskin, a quarter of an hour from time. Substitute Shaun Charles completed the scoring in the closing minutes, sweeping in Jake Chadwick’s pass.
